Mr. Zagar...Please Report to the Main Office!
Okay, we're looking for the "Days of Future Passed"... for those postings you've written always meaning to send! Ü
Where are you...come join us! We all have great memories to share!
Welcome...This blog site was created to provide a forum for Blessed Sacrament Alumni to reconnect and share memories. It's our hope that reliving the laughter and recalling the antics can bring us all back to a time when life was so much less complicated!

Mr. Zagar was the best teacher I ever had...he not only taught us about history, etc. But he taught us about life and didn't adhere to the conservatism of the nuns. He exposed us to the real world with music, games, etc. He appreciated each one of us for the unique individuals that we were and encouraged us to pursue our dreams...all to the background music of the Moody Blues! :)
I remember whole classes with Mr. Zagar devoted to a Moody Blues song or two. In Search of the Lost Chord comes to mind. He would have copies of the words for each of us to look at while he played the song, then we would have discussion. It was cool man.
I think Sr. Theodore would have probably paddled him for his methods, if she was still around, God rest her soul.
But I learned patience & tolerance from the Man, he was the best and most influential teacher I had .
Mr. Zagar, You ROCK Dude !

Mr Zagar's classes were great. We were able to express ourselves without judgment. I have many memories of school days at BS. Mr Z was an example of what might be. Longer hair, cool without being a hard guy. I guess he was actually cool, unlike most of the other male adults I came in contact with outside BS. Both Mr. V and Mr. Z taught us without intimidation. Thanks to both for all the knowledge you shared as well as the patience you showed while doing it.
