Blessed Sacrament Reunion

Welcome...This blog site was created to provide a forum for Blessed Sacrament Alumni to reconnect and share memories. It's our hope that reliving the laughter and recalling the antics can bring us all back to a time when life was so much less complicated!

Father Louie

I will never forget him. Like most of us. He baptized us and married us too. Also the 2 best friends in the world that any girl could have. Joyce C. and Patty T. We were the three stooges. Well maybe 2. Poor Patty was the "innocent bystander" But Joyce and I. All we had to do is "Look at each other". We were GONE, into uncontrollable "GIGGLES". Which believe me got us into MAJOR trouble. By none other then Sister Mary Theodore. Who could forget her? Our 2nd grade teacher. I will leave my comments at that.
A little unknown story about Father Louie. He had just become a priest. My father who is 86. Attended a school . Where Father was at. Well all the boys and Father were playing baseball. When someone hit the ball a little to hard. Breaking a school window. The Mother Superior came out with the ball in her hand. Everyone scattered, even Father Louie!
I am still til this day friends with Joyce and Patty. If ya hear from Patty. Ask her about her chocolate cake.

Father Lou was so nice. I remember when I was in the first grade how he would wave to us by raising his little pinky.

I remember Father Louie singing, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream." in the hallway when we were lined up for lunch. Speaking of the hallways made me remember Mr. Hook (?) who faithfully put that "stuff" down on the puddles of puke!

Mr. Hook!!! You're good...what a great memory. Wasn't that Father Lou's brother? Speaking of puke...I felt like it most every time Father Louie would come in to pass out the report cards! Remember he would stand in the front of the class, twiddle his thumbs over his belly and give us "the look". He'd either smile or do the tsk tsk thing as he shook his head while scanning the report card. Ugggh...what a thing! The C- in conduct I received one grading period left a lasting impression...I had plenty of time (while grounded from life, as I knew it) to ponder and repent for my "overly active" communicative skills!
