The Dumb Act
Beth asked me to write about the dumb act. As you know from 1st through 4th or 5th we went 2 by 2 everywhere; to church; to lunch; to an assembly; whatever. The dumb act was being at the end only the 2 by 2 line. When the beginning of the class went around the corner being lead by the Nun, we would turn around and run away from the class in the opposite direction. Then turn back and run to catch up and slide and walk on our knees or crawl or whatever dumb imbecilic thing we
could think of. Well one day we came running back to catch up and started our slide right when the nun came back to look around the corner. My mind is a blank after that, probably for good reason.
The dumb act was regularly performed by Frank Kissel, Steve Kratkowski, Greg Wisemann, myself and occasionally Joe Tusone and Keith Underwood. I know more have tried it but I can't think of who. Let them admit it themselves. (Paul, John, Billy, Craig and Phil)

I remember the dumb act very well. I remember getting caught sliding right past the group and having one of the nuns standing around the corner giving me the evil eye and the come here young man. It was a GD it Johnny day when I got home.
How many of you remember when Keith and some others would crawl under the pews in church and sit in another row for a minute and then slide back down and come back to the original row. Man I can remember laughing until my side hurt and I was short of breath.
Hey Johnny,as we all know Keith was the clASS clown (oops was that a typo).
The boys were always behind the girls because the nuns sat in the back of there students. As we all know the girls were saintly and the boys were little reprobates.
I sort of remember Keith doing the under the pew act and Rose kicking him in the head because he was always trying to look up our skirts.
If I remember right you guys were always getting in trouble in church,and there was one occasion
when one of you had the bright idea to shoot spit balls at us girls...
I think I had a dozen in my hair before I figured out that there was something slimy embedded in my
hair.
There were many funny things that happened in church no wonder we went to confession on Fridays.
