does anyone remember when a sister morriata or something like that took ellen's place on organ for morning mass? we hated the way she played and missed helen, so one day we went on strike when it was our day in the choir and didn't sing for the whole mass. boy that nun was pissed! so she yelled at us and the next time we were up for choir we all sang, but way off pitch!! that pissed her off even more!! father louie even got on us after that , cuz he heard the terrible singing all the way up front at the altar.
i also remember when we switched from blue uniforms to brown and gold. we thought they were ugly, so we started wearing colorful ties instead of the uniform ties!! boy what rebels we were....

Hey Len, Didn't you guys have a "Monkees" type rock band way back when. I remember you guys rockin'out in the cafeteria. Man was that cool!

Thank GOD I wasn't present for that class picture. Although I still have a copy of the graduation one somewhere. Also an old copy of the Nova American. Wasn't that lithograph machine a pain in the butt to use?

The ones needing mentioning in the band were Leonard Cook on lead guitar, Gary Aloia on Rhythm, Jim Redlewski on drums. They were the heart and soul of the group. They were good times.

Sr. Maurita--the one Len mentions--was the principal who replaced Sr. Theodore. This gal was a stern nervous person who never was particularly friendly--I don't think I ever saw her smile. Helen--not Ellen--was the housekeeper at the parsonage, and, yes, a much better organist--and friendly too.

No one has mentioned Joe Sedlak--a young priest who became assistant pastor. Very friendly guy, but I don't think he ever believed in anything.

The bands name was Silo. I got to be a roady since my brother was the drummer. Man it was great, being part of the scene and all. That was the year I began my bone head faze. Those were the days. No responsibility except to myself. Party Hardy not a care in the world.

Ahhhhh the Band.....
I was such a groupy.
I remember seeing Garry Aloia and thinking he was the hottest guy in the band. Sorry Jim and Len.

They were so mod in there style and the colored lights.

Gloria.....G-L-O-R-I-A, Groovy man...

Hi Len,

Do you remember Woods Park, the big hill and riding bikes with all your friends? I remember you asking me to go steady. Too bad I didn't say yes! Hope you are well. Are you coming to the picnic on Sunday? If so, I hope to see you there. Take care and God Bless! Robin King Ellis (your neighbor from Woods Park)
