Blessed Sacrament Reunion

Welcome...This blog site was created to provide a forum for Blessed Sacrament Alumni to reconnect and share memories. It's our hope that reliving the laughter and recalling the antics can bring us all back to a time when life was so much less complicated!

I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this reunion! I am hoping that many of my classmates will be able to attend as I haven't seen most of them in 38 years--ouch! We started our first grade class with 56 students--poor Sister Gabriel-good thing she was young! I can't imagine how we learned anything with that many in the room. Those were the good old days of "Dick and Jane" readers. As someone already mentioned, life was simple then.

The girls used to stand on the toilet seats and look in that huge bathroom mirror to see how high we were rolling up our skirts. All was well until one of us slipped and the foot (wearing suede shoes) went into the toilet bowl. How to explain one soaking wet knee sock and shoe to the nuns!
I too remember the art classes,
Father Lou passing out report cards (my heart would start racing),the boys band and the spook house. When someone had a birthday, they would get a special holy card from the nun--those of us with summer birthdays weren't so lucky. Remember how we would have to stand up and greet an adult entering our classroom with "Good Morning/Afternoon ________." Don't forget Sister Gail Ann who left the sisterhood after teaching us!
So, class of 1970, those 8 years hold many treasured memories for me. I look forward to seeing many of you at the reunion. For those of you who can't attend, I hope all is well and life is good! Take Care!--Judy

Judy it is always good to hear the positive about the reunion.

Chris and I have put a lot of heart into it and hope that all will get the same thrill that we have gotten by putting it together.

Many surprises are coming together.

So enjoy the blog and remember the moments of the past and the future to come.
Beth
