Blessed Sacrament Reunion
Welcome...This blog site was created to provide a forum for Blessed Sacrament Alumni to reconnect and share memories. It's our hope that reliving the laughter and recalling the antics can bring us all back to a time when life was so much less complicated!

There goes the neighborhood! Darn hippies!
The LAST time I trimmed my hair or beard was around October 7, 1972. I had left BS the previous June and was finished with teaching--or so I thought. Bishop Noll hired me in late September to "fill in" for a year and I trimmed my hair and beard around the time I started working the job.
Haven't seen a blade since then.
I don't vote. I don't worship. I don't cut my hair.
We are equal, so why would I want you to make my decisions? The term "representative democracy" is a contradiction in terms. No one who gives their power of choice to a stranger can claim to be free.
Only royalty demands that we bend our knees and bow our heads--why would a good and just and loving supreme spirit demand worship? This is a human contrivance and it only reinforces the chain of command, the heirachy that has poor, powerless people and animals on the bottom and the rich and their make-believe God at the top.
My body has many parts. I would not remove digits from my hand to sate some cultic ritual, so why my hair?
"Go Slim Shady, Go Slim Shady!"
Jerry, thanks for the CDD--just arrived. Hey, the lyrics look like something I can live with. Have you ever gotten into Mike and the Mechanics? Behind the Moody Blues there are several bands that are great on the musicianship and lyrical level and Mike Rutherford (Genesis guitarist) and mates (in his "side" band) are fantastic.

This kind of shits really starting to freak me out.
Hi Debbie, No we are not having a back yard dance contest, this is the 4th of July and we are celebrating by trying to blow each other up. The guy in the back is Dennis Muffet. You can tell Lenny by his ear. God rest his soul, I wish he could be there.

Johnny, don't get to freaked out, as the song goes...
"Those were the days my friend, we hoped they never end, we sang and danced....
Jerry! Dennis Muffet, Wow! What is he up to?
Great hair by the way.
By the way, Chris and I were wondering when you guys slept?
By the looks of the comments and postings you guys are up at all hours.
It's a good to know kind of thing, I sometimes suffer from insomnia and could use someone to talk to.
Beth
Beth, I just find it hard to stay sleeping when there is so much to do......like playing Wii MarioCart or getting nametags to print!!
I know what you mean Deb...
I read my Harry Potter books over again.
I'd go to bed and wake up again to finish it at 2 A.M.
Or if I have 2 glasses of wine I always wake up around 3 A.M..
Recently it has been... Why can't I find Janet Wagner????
Or how many tables will we need for the reunion, or Oh I for got that song.
Can that list get any bigger???
Then the big question... What will I do when the Reunion is over???
For 9 months it has consumed my life...
Beth
Beth....after the reunion you will start preparing for who's coming this fall!!
Yes Debbie I do have something exciting to look forward to.
My first Grand child will be here in Oct. So I will have a little pumpkin to light up my life.
Can't wait... Trick or Treat!
Beth
Congrats Beth, Lisa & I have 8 grand kids and they are awesome. (Most of the time.)
