Blessed Sacrament Reunion

Welcome...This blog site was created to provide a forum for Blessed Sacrament Alumni to reconnect and share memories. It's our hope that reliving the laughter and recalling the antics can bring us all back to a time when life was so much less complicated!

Okay all you "Last Minute Nellies"!

THE DIAGNOSIS:

"Procrastination is a type of behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. Psychologists often cite procrastination as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision."
In other words (in the vernacular of our very own Mr. Zagar), what we're really saying is that "Your Planets are in the Rears"
Speaking of...Where's YOUR reservation, Ted????

THE GOOD NEWS:

We knew this was going to happen. With that in mind...

We've EXTENDED THE DEADLINE!

There's STILL TIME to turn in your reunion Reservation and Memory Book Page.

Here is the list of those attending the reunion. We still have additional names to add....

Stay tuned.....

For years I have been hearing that we should have a reunion with the family of friends from our youth.

And according to our blog we have had some of the best times of our lives with our friends.

Our Traveling Friends are coming home to see all of you and relive the good times.
Many have said I'd rather go to a Grade School Reunion then a High School Reunion.

It has been 36 years and more since we have shared our friendships.

Don't let this moment of great laughs, warm hearts and great memories pass you by.

See you soon,
Beth

"Procrastination is the mother of invention." Or is it necessity is the mother of invention? A bit mixed up--that's what Frank Zappa will do to ya!

I don't care what procrastination means, we have to talk to the caterer and let him know how many plates to reserve.

And what you wear is really up to you as long as it is NOT YOUR BIRTHDAY SUIT.EWWWWWWE!!!
All of the food will be there, can I say contamination.

Seriously, come and enjoy yourselves, that is what this is really about.
Of course you'll hear "my you haven't changed a bit" my comment to that is "WHAT DOES THAT REALLY MEAN????"

HINT, HINT ROSE KATHRINE...

Beth, how exciting this must be for you. To see the list grow as it has is fantastic. All your hard work has not gone unappreciated. You are absouletly correct in refrence to the remarks about an 8th grade reunion vs. HS. I myself have made that statement and there where many times that Cheryl and I would have discussions pondering the feasability of such an event. And look at you, you've done it!!!! Congrats and we (Mark & I) can't wait.

Hey Beth you are so right...there are going to be so many regretful individuals if they do not come to this most exciting event...who cares what you wear, who cares what you look like!!!! We shared a truly unique bonding experience that has made us all who we are today...don't we all want to touch each others' souls again for one night?! Don't we want to re-live a little bit of that wonderful innocence we possessed...the thought that anything was possible and the world was at our feet....and laughter was the best thing you could possibly do...let's do it!!!

Hey Ted, speaking of the planets...you should look it up and tell us if this reunion was spelled out in the universe for it to happen this month?? We've thought about it and talked about it for years why was this the year? Will the stars favor us reunion weekend?? Not that they already have, in so many ways...

Thanks Blanche and Debbie for the kindness but I must say that without my partner in this crime Chris Colle I would have been in the mad house by now.
My advice to anyone that would want to tackle a challenge like this is to have a friend that will stand by you no matter what.

I think that Chris and I have balanced each other quite well.
When a problem arises one of us found a way to solve it.
Were proud of the fact that we found about 175 class mates from 4 classes and believe me we didn't find them all by ourselves but we were the little engine that could and wouldn't stop until we found the missing person.
And believe me when we talked to someone our conversations were lengthy and full of laughter.

There were some negative feed back which at first Chris and I took personal but thanks to our friend Mr. Zagar and putting things in perspective by saying; " Those that come want to be there and share in the memories and those that don't come we have to just let go, they may come to the next one."

I talked to him the other day and he said that he put a reunion together and realized that keeping in touch with people is important at our age. You never know who won't be at the next reunion because of a death.
Like our class that has lost 3 class mates that touched our lives at one time. I'm truly sad that I didn't know about there passing, but happy that I have such fond memories of them.

In all honesty on my part, I have talked to so many from all classes and many have popped into my salon to shock me and make me smile.
So I guess I'm saying that even if this reunion had failed along the way I still had a great time remembering a moment with each and everyone of you.
See you soon,
Beth

Mark Schwinn,
Can you please tell us what is up with your brother Mike? He is not responding to any e-mails, letters, or phone calls. Reunion won't be the same without him! Without everyone for that matter! Can you talk to him for us?
