Where is Paul Einikis? Could this picture have been taken when he was sick or was he hiding? Jerry Persley looks like he's planning some kind of prank. I think I remember what was being planned, Oink, Oink. He's got that look on his face. Would you look at the size of Big Ray Barrera. He's four bricks taller than I was. And as for me with the Cub Scout uniform and the Lords of Flatbush slickback, I'm not looking to thrilled. Don't these picture make you wonder what was going though your mind when that shot was taken? That the best part of getting older, you can't remember what you can't remember.
Hi John...I agree with the not remembering thing! But what I do remember is why you're not seeing Paul Einikis in this picture. In the second grade there was your class (pictured here) and the rest of us (you know, the elite crowd!) put in a "split-class" with the third graders. A group picture was posted earlier. (You'll find that in the March archives) Anyway, Paul, myself, Joey Rodiriguez (whom we still can't find), Lenny Skeirys, Joe Tassone, Valerie Konikowski, Florence Magallon, Frank Kissel and a few more of us were with the third graders that year. Then we all met back as a group the following year. And there you have it...mystery solved! Ü
You guys were sooooo cute, I just want to squeeze all of your cheeks.
But there must have been a shortage of barbers back then. The guys were either buzzed off or crooked bangs was the fashion. And Johnny, how much gel did you have in your hair to keep it from moving in the wind???
Jerry that face is priceless and Mark you look like you are ready to pucker up for a kiss. Who would that be I wonder????
Rose, how do you always manage to be in the front row and Peggy you look like you are ready to play leap frog. Tina looks so serene,and Kathy T. I love the happy go lucky look.
But there are many that I don't know and I'm worried that we haven't contacted them.

Thats one heck of a memory Chris. I just had one come through also. Donna Kotfer next to Peggy E in the front row. I remember her being so tiny. Has anyone found Brenda Herz. The last I remember of her was serving her mother or fathers funeral. There are a few people in that picture that I can't for the life of me remember what their names are. Oh well 50 has taken its toll, or perhaps its 70's and 80's that damaged those memory cells. Probably a bit of both.

Hi Jerry, Fran Lorenz is between Kathy Bryan and Debbie Willimas. Kathy Krampton is the one between Debbie Williams and Tina Georgieff. The girl's name who is Angela her last name was Verde. Don't ask me how I can remember this. It just came to me when I looked at the picture.
OK I was hoping that this picture would not get on the blog. Look at those glasses that were so in style. I remember wanting them so bad! WHY? They look so funny seeing us wearing them. I remember the day being a bit chilly to Jerry. The photographer told all the short girls to get in front and squat down in the front. Every year I hoped I would grow a couple of inches so I would not be one of the shortest girls. But I guess that never happenend.

Ok Jerry,Is Cynthia Yednak holding hands with Brenda Hertz? Yes, that is Angela Korkel. Man, we are getting good at this. Now, who is the girl next to Brenda Hertz? Was her name Judy?
Her name was Judy....Judy Lengerman? I think her last name was something like that, no maybe it was Jones?
Debbie, You are right, it's Judy Langerman. Good memory, as I look at these photos I remember what a "horse's hind end" I used to be to some of you.
To anyone that I ever cut down, berated, pranked or hazed, I offer my most sincere apology.
Ok, it is Angela Korhel now Roberts and we just found her, she lives in Merrillville.
So our list just grew by about 10. I think I'll have to put something in the paper under LOST AND CAN NOT FIND.
Keep an eye out.
Get in those spider webs or wasted years you call a brain and help me locate the names that you have mentioned.
Only 6 weeks left till the big Reunion are you feeling the anticipation NOW!?!?!?
And Jerry, I'm sure we are all guilty of being mean to someone in our class....I call it sibling rivalry, or Pecking order, it's only natural. But I'm hoping that like most things the good times out weigh the bad and we can look at our friends from the past and find the laughter that we are sharing today.
Your sins have been absolved my friend.
I'm reading a funny book called Chasing Grace and it is about raising a family in the Catholic faith. I now remember what confession was all about... Pretty funny.

Perz, I had the same thoughts about how mean I was to some of the kids at BS as well as other periods in my life. Through many hours of spiritual awakening as I like to refer to my journey since those days. I can honestly say, I am sorry if I affended, intimidated or caused anyone pain of any sort. We are all a product of the environment we grew up in. We grew up in a less than ideal environment. From all the postings I have read to date, I think we all have come a long way through some rough roads. I for one have no one to blame it on but myself. Some days I was Johnny the SHIT and some days I was just Johnny. Take care to all!!!
