Blessed Sacrament Reunion

Welcome...This blog site was created to provide a forum for Blessed Sacrament Alumni to reconnect and share memories. It's our hope that reliving the laughter and recalling the antics can bring us all back to a time when life was so much less complicated!

A BS ALUMNI'S WIFE ENJOYS REUNION, TOO!

Hello everyone, Joe Tassone's wife, Cindy here. I just wanted to say that I enjoyed myself so much during the BS Weekend Reunion. What a joy it was for me to see the happiness on the faces of everyone reconnecting and remembering days gone by but those many memories still in your hearts and minds! I enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you and the stories that were shared. I laughed and I even cried! Thank you all. My hope and prayer is that you will all continue to "keep in touch" with one another. Joe and I are looking forward to the next BS reunion.

Hi Cindy so glad you enjoyed your self. I was so happy that you came. Joe said you weren't sure if you should but I feel that you have always been a part of putting this reunion together.
Welcome to the family.

Hi, Cindy,

It was good meeting you AND great to know that Joe has an "A+" memory after all these years. When I mentioned that I had my "kids" create posters for the school Christmas party that depicted various animals sung about in a Moody Blues song that I played in class, Joe was quick to name it! "Nice To Be Here," from the LP, "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour."

I watched my former students have a ball all weekend and it dawned on me that this reunion was NOT like the several Biswhop Noll Institute reunions that I helped organize. In our case, my classmates and I said "goodbye" as young adults en route to regular jobs or college. A few who showed up at the 40th Reunion hadn't seen most of us since graduation day.

In your case some of you hadn't seen each other much--if at all--since you were 8th graders (or younger, as I understand that some of you left BS before the end of the 8th grade school year). That puts a WHOLE different spin on it.

Also, Noll drew kids from Hegewich (part of Chicago) all the way to Lowell and many, many towns and cities in between. So many of us did NOT grow up together, whereas, just looking at all of these fun photos that you are posting of sleep overs, etc., you guys were tykes together. That makes it even more special.

I was also impressed that a few of you married classmates and have stuck together for 3 decades. CONGRATULATIONS!!! In this world, that is special!

Summer is here. Even if you don't envision a several day blast at this time (I know that many--especially the organizers--are enjoying a much needed "R and R" at this time!), you should consider having a mixer like you did on Friday every so many months--just don't have it where people have to scream over music to be heard.

Fatherly (older brotherly?!! :) ) advice from an old dude who digs music but who no longer cranks it up to number "11" (as in the flick, "Spinal Tap").

Blessings!
