WHAT A WEEKEND!
BRAVO!!!!
Words cannot express the delight we've experienced seeing this event come to fruition! All the planning...the phone calls..the late nights...the laughter...the mania...all so worth it... to see it all come together this weekend. Thanks to all of you who attended and made Beth and my dream a reality!
Words cannot express the delight we've experienced seeing this event come to fruition! All the planning...the phone calls..the late nights...the laughter...the mania...all so worth it... to see it all come together this weekend. Thanks to all of you who attended and made Beth and my dream a reality!
Three glorious days of otherwise long-lost friendships, revisited. The hugs..the excitement....the huge smiles...so candidly caught on photos and video. We saw the footage and photos tonight...Beth and I (at the risk if sounding like emotional menopausal midgets) cried like babies...I mean wads of kleenex piled 6 inches high! Everyone must see what we saw tonight...albeit in it's rough version...when the final video becomes available you will cherish every second of it! The confessional scenes are priceless! Thank you Paula Walton and Michael Gatch (Gloria Walton's son) for taking the time and effort to capture and visually document this weekend for us. You will have provided all of us with delightful memories that would have otherwise faded if not for the CD and DVD that you both are working on!
Thanks so much to all those who helped us make this a reality. Debbie Williams for all your work on the name tags, blog photos and power point presentation at the reunion and her daughter Rachel and her friend for manning our registration table. Mark Kacmar for his computer skills and panic control. Jaye Markovich and Joe Tassone for your incredible detective work. Debbie Walton for your creative and touching poems, Kathy Bryan for your beautiful floral table arrangements, Peggy Ernst for running our Silent Auction, Garry Aloia for your business savvy and keeping us legal. We appreciate Eva Claypool and all her support....the help of Cheri Tonetski and Paul Einikis and all those who donated to the auction. Thanks to "The Band" for taking us back to 1970 and last but not least, Brian Czekala for standing by us and being available when ever we needed you! Again...to those that joined us this weekend our thanks to you...for the others who weren't with us....(in the words of Sr. Eymard ) "You missed da boat"! Hoping we have the opportunity to do this again in a few years! What do you say???

I would love to see an annual BS Reunion Barbeque weekend planned. Perhaps we can poll the attendees and see how the group feels about it. I’m not sure I can handle another three day bash. I’m getting a little old to party that hardy.
Thanks for a great time and memory!!!
My Bishop Noll Reunion of 2003 was the first 3 day gig we ever did. It was so magical that we STILL have gatherings, and in fact I just returned home from meeting with 20 classmates at State Line Pizza in Schererville (the chain is owned by a classmate). We met to greet a classmate who has lived in Germany since his army days in 1967. He comes home twice a year to visit his mom in Hammond, and we set up a gig. That's the value of a go-to online site, like this blog. When people have something to announce, we do so on our BNI 1965 website. Birth and death announcements, gatherings, you name it. And we post photos quickly so the non-comers can also enjoy.
Stick together kids, you'll never regret it.
By the way, Johnny boy, old Mr. Z was up until 3 am on Friday and 5 am on Saturday--plus knocking the croquet ball around on Sunday almost until sundown. So I KNOW that Slim Shady CAN do another weekend, no sweat. How's mid-June looking for ya?
GO SLIM SHADY!!!!!

Mr. Zagar you were amazing, you stuck it out to the end and your words are so true.
We will keep this blog going as long as there is interest, which I think there will be.
A meeting place is possible maybe every other month.
Keep in touch everyone.
Beth
Hey John what happened to you on Sunday? Mark and I went to Buddy & Pals, stayed until 11PM. And then we had a family get together on Monday! Guess who slept all the way home on Tuesday? It was definetly a great weekend, would love to do it all over again but you are right we need time to recup!!!
Blanche and Mark,
I haven’t had that much to drink or that much fun in a long time. Four days of many beers was a little more than I can handle. We ended up going to my brothers and crashed hard. I think we slept 13 hours straight. Paul Einikis had us over for Ribs on Monday and we slept most of the flight home on Tuesday. It was a great to see so many people show up for all three nights. I’m already looking forward to the next time. I’d really like to keep in touch with everyone. Perhaps we can get a list of contact info out to all the attendees. If you ever want to visit Colorado, your always welcome in our home. We do Ski, snowmobile, hot springs trips in some mountain resort every year. Maybe you guys can come join the fun.
