Look at those hot Kick ball players, was that a Trophy?
Did we actually win a Trophy???

Beth, I am trying to look at the picture and I don't see a trophy? Unless I am not seeing it! Chris and Alice are holding a ball. I don't ever remember being on a kickball team. My memory is so poor!! Did we ever play a game with another school? It looks like from the picture we did have a kickball team. However, I can't recall playing one single game? That is sad!! Can you remember Beth?
Rose,we played in the CYO league.
We played against Pete and Paul, Holy Angles, St. Marks and a few other Catholic schools in the area. And we did win if I remember right 5 games out of 10.
Our games were usually after school at Merrillville school. But I can't remember who drove us to those games.
Jan Argenta older sister coached both 7th and 8th grade.
Then one year Mr.Zagar put a track team together. If I'm not mistaken it was the Presidents Fitness program.
Even back then they thought we were getting fat.
We even had a Volley ball team. I played on the 7th and 8th grade team because I was the right age and right grade for both teams.
I was so athletic hehehehe!!!! not!
Don't you remember playing against the 8th grade in the cafeteria?
I guess the boys sports were more important, because I don't remember any guys cheering for us.
Wow! I don't even know why I remember this stuff, it must be the reunion bringing it back.

Beth, your memory is so great! I do not remember one thing about kickball. Thanks though for letting me know what we did. That's really sad. Was it more like soccer that is played now in school?? When that picture was posted on the blog I was shocked to see we had a team and I was on it!!
Rose, I'm worried about that memory of yours....
Kick ball is more like base ball. Players at bases, pitcher rolls the ball and you kick it and run bases.
Fun don't you think?
You would kick the ball and scream all the way to the base.

Boy Beth, that is really sad that I thought kick ball was like soccer. Now I remember what kick ball is that you told me. HA!! About me yelling all the way to the base that is really funny. Did I really do that?
Rose, You were always screaming and laughing, crossing your legs,hummm, you were so funny.
Even when you were telling me off, I couldn't take you serious, you little pip squeak.
We would yell at each other and then start laughing.
